Job Description
We are currently seeking a Sr Process Engineer to work in our Pasadena Manufacturing facility in Pasadena, TX, reporting to the Technical and Process Engineering Manager. This multifaceted position will be involved in process improvement activities, capital project development, project execution, as well as providing technical support to a production area to ensure stable operations. The candidate will have the opportunity to be part of a new plant commissioning and start-up.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and execute commissioning plans for safe and successful start-up of new Alkoxylation facility
- Identify and recommend process improvements, provide plant process troubleshooting, and process optimization to improve efficiency, plant capacity, and process safety
- Utilize skills in chemical process design, SPC data analysis, capital project management, and process technology to achieve plant objectives
- Provide technical support needed to resolve process problems and improve plant operations through the design, construction and start-up of capital projects
- Develop technical deliverables on capital projects to ensure workable, cost-effective solutions and act as the key technical point of contact from start of project until completion
- Train personnel on the system operation upon completion of a project
- Responsible for collaborating with cross functional team for effective resolution of quality issues, asset downtime and root cause failure analysis

5+ years’ experience in the chemical industryAbility and flexibility to support a continuously operating manufacturing siteExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated ability in process design including mass transfer, reaction, kinetics, and thermodynamicsAbility to facilitate troubleshooting efforts and team meetingsDemonstrated problem solving skills and attention to detaiEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering requiredLI-KB1
