Description
The Director of Communications & Impact will be responsible for the development and implementation of both external and internal communications strategies for Communities In Schools of the Heart of Texas.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITES
Collaborate with the CEO in developing the communications strategy.
Work as a collaborator with the CEO & Board of Directors in leading the organization through impact and outcome focused growth and innovation.
Develop and implement organization-wide communications plan.
Oversee all social media, including organization's website.
Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems.
Assist CEO in grant development efforts.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in communications, marketing, and / or journalism.
Experience managing website content and using WordPress or other content management systems.
Excellent writing and oral presentation skills required.
Experience with donor databases and software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess effectiveness of public relations.
Must complete and clear Criminal Background Check.
