Mechanical Maintenance Technician

At Charter Steel, our maintenance team is the backbone of our operation, keeping everything running smoothly. They tackle a variety of challenges, from installing and maintaining equipment to troubleshooting complex problems and executing preventive maintenance plans.

We offer competitive base pay + night shift premium of an extra $2.25 / hr

Shift :

5-2-2-5 rotating night shift

five nights on, five nights off, two nights on, two nights off —giving you a great work-life balance with regular extended breaks.

preventative maintenance (PMs)

equipment calibrations

to optimize performance and reliability

industrial tools

mobile equipment

including cranes and forklifts

Electrical Maintenance Technicians

to tackle cross-functional maintenance tasks

High school diploma or GED

(3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience

Machining and welding

overhead crane troubleshooting and repair

rigging and lifting procedures

Journeyman Certification

formal apprenticeship program

SMAW, MIG, and / or TIG welding

Previous work experience in the

steel or heavy manufacturing industry

Fabrication skills

electrical systems

Exposure to heat, cold, grease, and working at elevated heights.
