Senior Systems Engineer - Operations / Systems Analysis

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Space and Launch Division is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer - Operations / Systems Analysis (Level 5) to perform mission product quality analysis and leadership for our dynamic 24 / 7 team in Las Cruces NM.

Senior Systems Engineer is a senior contractor on site and works closely with government customers to direct operations. Provides overall operation management for all real-time operations elements. Provides continuity of system knowledge. Assists government customer in responding to real-time contingencies in operations.

Position Responsibilities :

Provides continuity of system knowledge

Provides comprehensive operational management

Provides options and recommendations to government customers for day to day operation and contingency scenarios

Provides leadership to operational crews

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Willing to work variable shifts including days nights weekends and holidays

Able to successfully complete the Space Vehicle Certification program which requires a combination of self-study and on-the-job (OJT) training

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

Prior experience with coding / scripting with various languages (MATLAB Pearl etc...)

Prior experience working with space vehicles

Prior operational leadership position
