Position Title : HVAC Technician
Location : Nakamura, Seattle, WA (On-site)
Employment Type : Full-Time / Non-exempt
Schedule : 6 : 00 am-2 : 30 pm (Monday - Friday)
Union Affiliation : This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Local 302. Union enrollment is mandatory to enjoy the benefits associated with the role.
Position Overview :
This job keeps the building running smoothly by performing scheduled maintenance on HVAC and electrical equipment, ensuring they have the necessary tools and materials beforehand. They also conduct daily inspections, respond to urgent tenant issues, and complete various work orders as needed.
Job Description :
- Responsible for performing all preventive maintenance work related to HVAC and electrical equipment, as described in the asset list preventive maintenance plan.
- Responsible for having materials and tools on-site and in advance at the moment of the preventive maintenance.
- Responsible for executing daily tours to ensure the building is operational.
- Responsible for responding to urgent tenant or GSA issues and coordinating resolution with its colleagues.
- Responsible for completing work orders / preventive maintenance checklists related to HVAC.
- Responsible for completing work orders / preventive maintenance checklists for equipment not necessarily under its primary duties if deemed necessary by the corporation.
- Providing support to the On-Site Supervisor on task order quotations.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Proven experience as an HVAC Mechanic or similar role.Experience with field service work, including troubleshooting and repairs.Great interpersonal skills and teamwork-oriented.Possesses a HVAC specialty electrical license 06B, an EPA 608 Certification Type 2 or greater, and one or more of the following certifications. North American Technician Excellence (N.A.T.E.) HVAC&R Service Technician Certification, HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification, UA Star HVAC&R Mastery Certification.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs (e.g., tools, equipment, materials).Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods.Capability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, or damp).Adequate hand-eye coordination for using tools, instruments, and performing fine motor tasks.Ability to walk throughout the facility for inspections and maintenance activities.Sufficient visual and auditory ability to safely perform tasks and identify hazards.To learn more about us, please visit our website at https : / / masepr.com
