About The Role

Position Summary

We’re looking for a versatile developer with a strong command of both WordPress and Laravel, capable of building complex back-end applications, developing and modifying custom plugins, and integrating third-party APIs. This role complements a team primarily focused on front-end development and WordPress theming by adding advanced back-end expertise and problem-solving capabilities.

This role requires not only advanced coding skills but also the ability to dive into complex projects, understand intricate architectures, and extend functionality within existing codebases and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain complex Laravel applications
Create and modify custom WordPress plugins to enhance site functionality
Integrate third-party APIs into websites and web applications
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing codebases (WordPress and Laravel)
Extend functionality of WordPress plugins as required
Write, modify, and optimize SQL database queries
Set up and manage environments for web servers, including staging and production deployments
Collaborate with front-end developers, project managers, and designers to clarify project requirements and align on timelines
Mentor Junior Web Developers on back-end techniques and integration strategies
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on complex back-end functionality
Develop and maintain technical documentation as necessary

Position Requirements

Proficiency in PHP, with advanced experience in back-end frameworks

Strong experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins

Knowledgeable in integrating APIs and working with RESTful services

Strong proficiency in SQL and database management (MySQL)

Proficient in version control using Git, including branching strategies for production

Comfortable with front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), with experience in animation and custom components a plus

Familiarity with JavaScript libraries (e.g., Vue, jQuery)

Familiarity with server management, deployment processes, and troubleshooting

Minimum 3 years of web development experience with proven expertise in complex Laravel and WordPress projects

Experience in integrating APIs and building custom database solutions

Solid understanding of web hosting and server configurations

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent self-taught experience

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex back-end requirements

Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and explaining technical concepts clearly

Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities

Please note : Lifted Logic operates on a hybrid work scheduled and all employees are required to be in office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday)
