Responsibilities

The Heritage Oaks Patient Enrichment Center , also known as the HOPE Center, is a newly constructed, state?of?the?art 16?bed psychiatric health facility serving the acute psychiatric needs of the Sacramento County community in partnership with the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. In this role the RN will prescribes, coordinate, and evaluate patient care through collaborative efforts with the health team, following the nursing process, care standards, and best practices.

• Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.
• Employ principles of communication, interview techniques, and problem solving and crisis intervention during psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Participate in the development of an interdisciplinary treatment plan with specific, measurable goals, objectives, and interventions tailored to each patients needs.

Schedule

Per diem position with NOC shift flexibility, Sunday & Monday availability.

Qualifications

Education : Graduate from an accredited nursing school required; Associate degree is required, Bachelors preferred.

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in a psychiatric health capacity; preferred 3 years in a psychiatric health care facility.

Licensure : Currently licensed to practice by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Additional Requirements : CPR certification and completion of Handle with Care (HWC) training (in?house) within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must demonstrate medication administration skills and complete the nursing competency skills checklist.
