Hours : Part-time, Non-Exempt

Location : West LA, Lynwood, and Mobile Unit

Salary : $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

General Description :

The Medical Assistant works directly with the medical staff at Claris Health to perform various office and clinical duties. This includes the performing of pregnancy tests, taking patient vitals, drawing blood, administering vaccines, maintaining patient records and clinic log-books, checking insurance eligibility, explaining common medical procedures to patients, and assisting in basic examinations.

Qualifications :

• Certified Medical Assistant with additional training in venipuncture.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training in accordance with the American Heart Association.
• Ability to provide support to staff.
• Strong patient care skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the Medical Assistant is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear. This position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Travel :

The Medical Assistant must be able to travel between locations and to attend conferences, training, and other events as required in order to acquire and maintain proficiency in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Claris Health's pay ranges vary based on work location.
