About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Lending Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the existing loan portfolio, meeting production targets, and creating a friendly and welcoming experience for customers. This role involves leading sales and lending efforts across commercial, specialty, and consumer lending, as well as providing leadership and coaching to the lending team. The Chief Lending Officer will also be tasked with overseeing the lending pipeline, managing loan requests and delinquencies, and ensuring that appropriate action steps are taken for each delinquent loan. Additionally, the role includes developing and maintaining calling programs for loan prospects and customers, partnering with commercial lenders and branch managers to promote cross-selling, and participating in community reinvestment activities.

Applicants for the Chief Lending Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance, with a Master of Business Administration preferred. A minimum of 10 years of commercial banking experience, with at least 5 years in commercial credit review or commercial credit, is required. Direct lending and lending / sales management experience, as well as experience in consumer lending, are ideal. The role demands a candidate with demonstrated leadership ability, excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to make sound decisions and prioritize tasks. Proficiency in the Windows Office Suite is also necessary.
