Job Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst for Distribution will have a key role in the preparation and analysis of financial results as well as strategy vetting and development. Reporting to the VP, Finance, this role will partner with the Director of Enterprise Logistics and the distribution and operations teams to optimize distribution strategies and costs.

Highlights of your role

Develop financial models.

  • Create forecasts for monthly distribution costs.
  • Report and analyze actual distribution costs incurred, identifying areas of improvement.
  • Evaluate alternative costs of acquiring / leasing distribution equipment.
  • Validate distribution cost transactions for accuracy.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the distribution team.
  • Lead the monthly financial review with the distribution team.
  • Support and participate in the creation of distribution strategy.
  • Support distribution team leadership and the VP, Finance, with the development, analysis, and communication of ad-hoc reporting
  • Support and execute various projects and processes as requested.

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)

  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), cost management, and budgeting fundamentals.
  • Experience with financial and statistical software.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to present financial data to non-financial professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate and work as an effective team member.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Also want to make sure you have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and / or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting work experience, preferably in manufacturing and or distribution / logistics companies.
  • Familiarity with accounting and ERP systems.
