The primary focus of the Environmental Test Engineering role will be conducting electrical and mechanical hardware validation testing on Ford’s Next Generation Electronic Control Units (ECU). This role involves working in Ford’s ISO Laboratory environment supporting various climactic and mechanical stress loading conditions using specialized equipment and chambers. The successful candidate will be working on Ford’s Environmental Test team to ensure modules are delivered free of defects, with the highest production quality while achieving best in-class test coverage.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Technology Engineering, Mechanical Technology Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
1+ year Experience Operating Temperature Chambers and Vibration Tables
1+ year Experience working with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and precision power meters.

Experience with RF communications test and design. (TDR / Cellular / GPS / WiFi / BT)
Detailed understanding of various technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet (BroadR), Audio (i2S), Displays (LVDS) and Cameras.
Network Expert with TCP / IP connectivity protocol standards knowledge base.
Experience with embedded chip programming and software download into electronic modules.
Knowledge of Surface Mount, Selective Solder, Underfill, Conformal-Coat processes.
Experience working with dynamic RF front-end designs and Qualcomm tool sets.
