Staff Accountant

Description

Our client, a respected construction and real estate development firm based in Fallbrook, is hiring a dedicated Staff Accountant to join their finance department. This position plays an integral role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting project accounting, and assisting leadership in decision-making for ongoing development projects. Key Responsibilities :

• Perform daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable entries.
• Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Track construction project costs and assist with progress billing.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze variances.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Support payroll processing and job cost allocations.
• Generate reports for project managers and the CFO.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies.
