Responsibilities :
As a Shift Lead, you are expected to set the standard for line-level team members. Punctuality, exceptional customer service, and maintaining a professional, positive, and welcoming attitude towards guests and employees are key aspects of your role. You will serve as a model employee for others to follow. You are also responsible for leading and supporting a team, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, fostering growth, and resolving conflicts, all while promoting a positive and productive work environment. This role requires a commitment to excellence, both in customer service and in team leadership, supporting smooth and efficient front-of-house operations.
- Oversee the packing and preparation of preorders for the day, ensuring all orders are accurately fulfilled and payments are tracked. Make sure all pre-orders are completed and dispatched on time.
- Manage employee breaks, ensuring line-level staff receive designated rest periods.
- Assist the General Manager in maintaining inventory, ensuring stock levels are adequate, and the inventory area remains organized and well-stocked throughout the week.
- Provide training and guidance to line-level employees, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties. You are in charge, in the absence of the General Manager.
- Handle cash and money transactions responsibly, including splitting tips and counting the cash register at the end of the shift.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of our product, including the ingredients and the entire process involved in creating each item.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and grievances in the absence of the General Manager.
- Assign tasks to employees on the floor, ensuring they remain engaged and productive throughout the shift. During slower times or with high staffing levels, assign tasks like deep cleaning, napkin rollups, box or bag preparation to maintain workflow.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of bakery equipment, including coffee machines, grinders, and cleaning tools. Notify management of any equipment issues and ensure daily maintenance procedures are followed.
- Adhere to and enforce proper opening and closing procedures, ensuring the bakery operates efficiently and securely at all times.
- Shift leads are also expected to have mastered and regularly perform the Barista job duties.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
1-2+ years of service working in hospitality, restaurants, or a related field with a focus on customer service.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
