Senior Manager, Communications - LATAM
Job Overview :
The Senior Manager of Communications for LATAM (Global Flex and Rigids) is responsible for providing strategic communications advice and hands-on support to regional leaders to achieve organizational objectives and mid-term aspirations. The role leads and develops internal and external communications campaigns in support of the company’s growth agenda. It includes developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans, facilitating change communications, and aligning with corporate, divisional and regional strategy. The individual will create content for shared internal communication events and vehicles such as the intranet to contribute to employee engagement and alignment. The role also leads external communications for the region to enhance or preserve Amcor’s brand reputation, including potential crisis management, and works with Corporate Communications and other functions to ensure consistent communication. Strong collaboration across the region, ability to manage competing priorities, good organizational skills, and the ability to partner with and advise leaders are required.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide communication expertise, counsel and support for major change initiatives and transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, policy changes, etc.).
Partner with key stakeholders on development and execution of innovative communications campaigns that boost growth.
Develop strong relationships with Business / Functional leaders to facilitate delivery of the communications strategy and key messages.
Develop and implement the overall LATAM regional strategy for maximum reach and effectiveness with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure employees understand their contribution to the organization’s success.
Provide dedicated internal and external communications support for company leadership and enterprise initiatives.
Produce timely communications materials (announcements, articles, messages, Q&A documents, presentations, etc.).
Manage PR initiatives and provide strategic insight to drive business results.
Ensure communications reflect key business messages effectively.
Contribute to tools and metrics to measure and evaluate communications activities.
Share best practices and collaborate with the Communications Leadership Team on global projects.
Provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers on large, sensitive projects.
Work with the Communications Center of Excellence to manage digital platforms, including social media.
Identify and implement new communication vehicles to reach employees across offices, plants and remote settings.
Support significant leadership events (e.g., annual conference).
Deploy and execute an annual communications plan and a portfolio of activities supporting Amcor strategy.

Skills & Competencies :
Fluency in spoken and written English; additional languages a plus. For LatAm roles, fluency in Spanish and English is favorable; Portuguese is a plus.
Exceptional copywriting across multiple formats.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships and manage conflicts.
Business and financial acumen; translate business imperatives into communications solutions.

Qualifications :
Approximately 8-12 years of experience in external and / or internal communications, preferably in a packaging manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in FMCG, manufacturing or international companies, and / or agencies.
Experience managing agencies and vendors; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Experience delivering integrated internal communications programs and campaigns; excellent writing / editing and verbal skills.
Mastery of communication tools relevant to business objectives; leadership skills in a matrix organization.
Strong project management skills with enterprise-level change management experience.
Focus on execution, delivering measurable results and engaging ideas.
Education & Certification :
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related discipline
Master’s in Business Administration, Communications, or related discipline is a plus
