Job Summary :

This role is for a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) in a busy primary care clinic. The MA-C will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support to multiple providers focusing on patient care within a fast-paced environment. The position requires flexibility and strong teamwork skills due to potential schedule changes. While initially a 13-week contract there is a possibility of permanent employment following successful completion.

Responsibilities :

• Assisting providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Taking patient vital signs medical histories and documenting information in the electronic health record (EPIC).
• Administering medications and injections as directed by a provider.
• Performing basic laboratory tests and collecting specimens.
• Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
• Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
• Answering phones handling inquiries and directing calls.
• Performing clerical duties such as data entry and record keeping.
• Assisting with Medicare wellness exams and vaccinations.
• Floating between providers and working with all providers assigned to.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
