Job Summary :
This role is for a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) in a busy primary care clinic. The MA-C will provide comprehensive clinical and administrative support to multiple providers focusing on patient care within a fast-paced environment. The position requires flexibility and strong teamwork skills due to potential schedule changes. While initially a 13-week contract there is a possibility of permanent employment following successful completion.

Responsibilities :
- Assisting providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Taking patient vital signs medical histories and documenting information in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Administering medications and injections as directed by a provider.
- Performing basic laboratory tests and collecting specimens.
- Preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Answering phones handling inquiries and directing calls.
- Performing clerical duties such as data entry and record keeping.
- Assisting with Medicare wellness exams and vaccinations.
- Floating between providers and working with all providers assigned to.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills & Certifications :
At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.Pediatric experience.Current and valid Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Reliable transportation.Preferred Skills & Certifications :
Experience in all areas of primary care practice.Special Considerations :
13-week contract with potential for permanent employment.5x8-hour days Monday-Friday (0730-1600).Facility may call off traveler up to 1 shift per pay period.Must be able to float within the clinic and work with any provider.Open to local candidates local travelers and true travelers within 50 miles.No on-call requirements.No block scheduling accommodations.Dark blue attire required.Scheduling :
5 eight-hour days Monday-Friday 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM.Shift assignments are pre-determined.Key Skills
