A large Plumbing Distribution company in Jacksonville, FL, is in search of an Inventory Control Specialist to start IMMEDIATELY

Schedule : Monday – Friday – 7am to 4pm

Pay - $18 / HR

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory levels and location management.

Job Duties :

  • Cycle counts : Generates cycle counts and completes cycle count reconciliations immediately.
  • Discrepancies : Serves as point of contact for customer service regarding shipping discrepancies. Verifies Logpro / WISE inventory discrepancies. Reports discrepancies at end of week to RDC Manager.
  • Product Maintenance : Consolidate product locations when possible and ensure that products are stored in spaces with appropriate dimensions. Maintain bin location labels.
  • Quality Control : Ensure QC area is organized and clean at all times.
  • Adjustments and negatives : Approve adjustments and make proper notes for adjustments. Monitor negative on hand report.
  • Safety : Never lift anything you think is too heavy. Always ask for help when necessary. Attend all safety training meetings. Be aware of safety violations and notify manager immediately if any are noted.

Qualifications Experience and Skills :

  • Education : High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Experience : 3-5 years Inventory Experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Professional Skills : Experience in shipping management, with emphasis on interpersonal skills, leadership, team supervision, motivation, communication skills, customer service and operational planning. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills necessary to succeed in this position.
  • Physical Skills : Able to physically handle material in the warehouse and work with warehouse equipment.
