- Occupational Therapist OT is to assist in planning organizing developing and implementing Occupational Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and / or the Administrator to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times
- Occupational Therapist OT must possess the ability to plan develop organize evaluate and implement the programs goals objectives policies and procedures etc. of the occupational therapy program to help residents obtain / maintain their highest level of physical mental and social well-being.
- Occupational Therapist OT will Interpret and / or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel residents family members etc. as necessary.
- Occupational Therapist OT will participate in discharge planning development and implementation of resident care plans resident assessments (MDS) etc. as necessary
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as required.
- Maintain treatment records resident files and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents
Requirements
- Must possess a current license and registration to practice as a Occupational Therapist OT in the State of NY.
- Must possess current malpractice insurance license in good standing
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as a Occupational Therapist OT

- Genuinely interested in helping ill injured disabled elderly emotionally upset & sometimes challenging residents
