Job Summary :
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing top-quality products for distribution in the foodservice industry. This involves finding and selecting suppliers, negotiating terms on price and quantity, and establishing lasting contracts. The role ensures a consistent supply of goods at competitive prices while maintaining high levels of service and availability. Additionally, the Procurement Specialist handles special requests, resolves supplier issues, and contributes to the overall success of the company as a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities :
Product Sourcing and Bargaining : Negotiate prices and order quantities while considering customer needs, optimal order quantities, volume discounts, efficient inventory management, promotions, and market conditions.
Create long-term contracts to ensure a steady supply chain. Handle urgent supply situations by sourcing and expediting deliveries.
Share pricing and product details with the sales team, suggesting pricing structures based on volume and margins. Support special initiatives and fulfill other assigned tasks to contribute to the companys goals.
