Essential Job Functions :
The Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS), Department of State (DoS), Charleston, SC requires the contractor to provide Computer Security Specialist services in the Information Systems Security Office (ISSO). ISSO is responsible for the development and implementation of the information systems security program and the integrity and availability of all DoS networks at CGFS.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (experience and certifications may substitute).
- Network+ and Security+ certifications required.
- Demonstrated experience in :
- Intrusion detection and vulnerability assessments
- Risk analysis and access management
- Network diagnostics and monitoring
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Windows 10 in a networked enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Skills, but not Required
Additional certifications in Information Security (e.g., CISSP, CISM).Experience working with federal accounting systems and implementing financial controls.Our most Successful Employees in this Position Demonstrate :

Provide customer-focused technical support via walk-ins, telephone, Teams chat, and email.Manage user accounts, email creation, and access permissions via Active Directory.Maintain and distribute encrypted equipment and peripheral devices.Administer user access to financial applications and oversee PIV exclusions lists.Support internal and external access management audits.Maintain and distribute ClassNet Thick Client hard drives.Implement and maintain information system security controls and procedures.Troubleshoot and resolve system and production issues.Security Clearance Requirement
All personnel provided under this task order must be able to either possess or obtain a security clearance of “ Top Secret, to be issued by Department of State, Diplomatic Security.

The employee will work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm with a non-compensated 45-minute lunch (See your Project Manager for work schedule and department policies). Additional hours may be required and must be authorized by your Project Manager and DoS Management.
