JELD-WEN Bend Windows is recruiting for the following production roles :

Builders -Assemble basic unit products to meet customer order requirements and to meet all quality, efficiency and safety standards for the job. This position can and may involve doing any of the finishing work such as applying jamb extensions, brickmold and / or mulling any of the product line variations.

  • Applying jamb extensions, brickmold and / or mulling any of the product line variations
  • Read schedules and drawings
  • Use a tape measure to 1 / 16” tolerance
  • Use pneumatic hand tools, power equipment, Chop saws
  • Heavy lifting is required throughout the day

Powder Coat -Responsible for pulling aluminum extrusion and roll-form and staging them in sequence by schedule for the Powder Coating department. This will require the use of saws and occasionally pneumatic tools.

Wrapper-Shipping -Move finished goods through the small and large wrappers. Responsible for packaging and wrapping individual parts for shipping. Must be able to read orders, use bar code scanning equipment, extremely heavy lifting will be required throughout the day.

    • Sawyer- Operate various pieces of power equipment to generate component assemblies for patio doors. Must be able to read a tape measure to 1 / 32” tolerance. Ability to read paperwork, use a chop saw to cut metal and wood, and some lifting is required up to 25lbs.

    Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to perform entry level, repetitive type assembly functions using hand power tools and applicable machinery / equipment
  • The ability to work in a manufacturing and fast paced environment
  • Reliable transportation, punctual and dependable
  • Must have a responsible attitude, safety conscious and results driven
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed

    • Physical Demands

  • Walking and standing for up to 8-10 hours per day
  • Ability to frequently bend, kneel, crawl, crouch, reach, stoop, climb, and walk
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, lift, and lower weight of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on elevated surfaces or platforms while maintaining balance and coordination
  • Must be able to see, identify, and safely handle, manipulate, and position products, tools, and other material.
  • Must have strong hand-eye coordination to safely handle, manipulate, and position products, tools, and other material.
  • Requires the use of both fine motor skills (e.g., precise handling of tools and equipment) and gross motor skills (e.g., moving large objects or using equipment).
