Telecom Drill Bores Operator

At Lambert's Cable, as a Telecom Drill Bores Operator, you'll be responsible for operating drill equipment to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You'll determine bore path and locate utilities, safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks, verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path, utilize "mud" mixing systems, develop and maintain a bore schedule, and be responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance. You'll perform work in all weather conditions and other duties as assigned. To be eligible, you must be 18 years of age or older, have authorization to work in the United States for this company, a high school diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience, a valid state driver's license, and a valid Class A commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it. Experience with drilling equipment is required.

Physical abilities and exposures include routinely working with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operating vehicles and heavy machinery, squeezing, fine hand motion, bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting greater than 55 pounds. Occasionally, you'll use ladder, keyboard, and mouse.
