Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder Analyst. Key Responsibilities Analyze protected health information according to CMS project-specific rules Assign ICD-9 / 10-CM codes based on AMA guidelines Discuss project-related discrepancies with Team Lead(s) and maintain coding credentials Required Qualifications Minimum of five years of experience in abstracting and ICD-9 / ICD-10 coding Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology of disease, and medical terminology Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must possess relevant coding certifications (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC) Passing score on a coder assessment is required for further consideration
