Hours per pay period : 80 Sign-on bonus : $5000.00

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the direction of the Manager Radiology and the immediate supervision of the Department Lead the Ultrasound Technologist performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of procedures that require independent judgment ingenuity and initiative. The Ultrasound Technologist will assume responsibility and accountability for specific ultrasound equipment and addition to the above responsibilities the Ultrasound Technologist will also assist with facilitation of patient flow and performing basic patient care activities under the supervision of the department staff. The Ultrasound Technologist supports and contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Ultrasound Department.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE :

Minimum :

• Competent in OB / GYN soft tissue / small part and Abdomen ultrasonography as demonstrated by past work experience or clinical hours OR completion of a training program

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function patient care quality assurance and specialized techniques as required for an Ultrasound Technologist. Must be self-motivated and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and problem solving techniques are required. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
