Description :

This is a 32-bed medical-surgical / telemetry unit.

The unit will care for orthopedic and general surgery patients.

There will be 6 beds designated as overflow when patient census increases.

The unit is divided into two sides with a total of 32 beds.

The overflow is located on the second floor directly below.

The patient demographic includes adults and geriatrics.

The daily census is currently unknown.

The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Patient diagnoses may include congestive heart failure, hypertension, dementia, and others.

Special procedures involve telemetry monitoring for general medical patients and joint replacements.

Candidates must have experience managing telemetry patients.

Staffing ratios are 6 patients per nurse during both day and night shifts, with weekends at 5 patients.

Floating may be requested based on the needs of the facility.

All candidates should have specialty experience within the last year.

Candidates must possess required certifications and licenses at the time of application.

NIH and stroke education are required for all registered nurses.
