Your Opportunity As a Construction Inspector, you'll be the on-site eyes and ears for our Construction Manager, ensuring that water infrastructure projects are built to the highest standards. You'll monitor contractor performance, document progress, provide quality assurance, and help resolve issues that arise in the field. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, values precision, and enjoys working closely with contractors and clients to deliver impactful results.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary field inspector for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Monitor contractor activities and prepare detailed daily reports
• Verify compliance with specifications, standards, and procedural manuals
• Communicate directly with contractors regarding conformance issues
• Identify and document potential changes to the contract scope
• Maintain master as-built and record drawing documentation
• Attend progress meetings, and evaluate the schedule of performance
• Review RFIs, submittals and inspection plan
• Assist in developing project-specific QA / QC standards and documentation
• Coordinate field testing and inspections per contract requirements
• Review and submit test reports for project turnover
• Document inspections, non-compliance notices, and corrective actions
• Track force account work and document labor, equipment, and materials used
• Review monthly contractor pay estimates for accuracy
• Prepare and manage punch lists for incomplete or deficient work

Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec, certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
