Responsibilities Of Speech Language Pathologist or CFY
Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders.Work closely with patients of all ages in various settings, including hospitals and pediatric clinics.Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilitiesDevelop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation resultsProvide therapy sessions to improve communication skills, including speech articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, fluency, and pragmaticsAdminister standardized tests and assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as neededCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patientsEducate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication and swallowing abilitiesDocument patient progress accurately and maintain detailed recordsRequirements Of Speech Language Pathologist or CFY
Minimum of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCurrent state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a FL Speech Language PathologistExperience in acute care settings is preferredKnowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care practicesFamiliarity with geriatric speech therapy techniques and interventionsStrong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, and swallowing disordersProficient in conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plansExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their familiesAbility to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary teamDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyAPPLY TO or call 561-350-6749
