DPP is seeking a Designer for an opportunity in Wichita, Kansas, with our client in the Aerospace & Defense industry. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.

- Must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance, which requires a thorough background search and US citizenship.
Position description :
In this role, you will be using your skills and expertise to develop highly complex designs. These cover a very wide range, from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.You'll create and review layouts, drawings, and models for clarity, completeness, and accuracy.You'll identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and / or improvements in designs.The successful candidate will act as a technical focal for all aspects of aircraft Electrical Wiring and Interconnection Systems (EWIS) design and development.Responsibilities :
Create harness assembly routings and installationsCoordinate with other engineering disciplines to resolve system interferencesProvide guidance on design tool development and enhancements EWIS component selectionProvide guidance and mentor to more junior engineers on the teamAbility to effectively communicate EWIS system requirements to other engineering disciplinesWorking knowledge of environmental electromagnetic effects and electromagnetic compatibility principles, as well as methods of protection and mitigation of those effects on EWISFamiliar with system safety principles and hazard mitigation methodsEducation / equivalency :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and typically 6 or more years of relevant experienceA higher level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationPreferred : Associates or Technical Degree in a related field Background in the Aerospace & Defense IndustryRequired knowledge, skills, and abilities :
Significant experience with 3D harness routing and installation designCAD tools (e.g. CATIA, SolidWorks, NX)Significant experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g. 3DExperience, Enovia SmarTeam, Teamcenter)Familiar with Model Based Design (MBD) principlesAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearancePreferred :
Experience with Dassault Systems 3DExperince, Catia V5 or V6Experience with Catia Electrical WorkbenchWork environment :
Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements : Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
