Strategy Director (Healthcare)

We're looking for our next bold leader a Strategy Director to join our quest to provide market-transforming solutions for businesses, care teams and consumers to interactively manage health and care.

Medecision is a leading healthcare SaaS platform helping health plans, providers, and members move from data to doing. Our platform powers utilization management, care management, quality, and risk programs for millions of members across the U.S.

Position Overview

The Strategy Director will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the strategic vision of Medecision. This role will be at the forefront of developing and implementing strategies that drive growth, enhance brand positioning, and ensure successful cross-functional collaboration across the organization. To be successful at Medecision you will understand what customer centric organization entails and be able to infuse that ideology in your contributions.

On a given day you will work closely with senior leadership to align our strategic objectives with operational execution, ensuring that we achieve our business goals and elevate our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy development, branding, and business expansion within the healthcare technology sector.

Corporate Strategy Development

  • Lead the formulation and execution of corporate strategy initiatives, ensuring alignment with our overall mission and vision.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, informing strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize strategic initiatives and allocate resources effectively.

Brand Strategy Leadership

  • Develop and implement brand strategies that enhance our brand equity and align with our corporate goals.
  • Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and perception to ensure consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Work closely with marketing and communications teams to integrate brand strategy into marketing campaigns and communication efforts.

    • Growth Initiatives

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to drive growth, including potential acquisitions, partnerships, and market expansions.
  • Develop business cases and strategic plans for growth initiatives, presenting recommendations to executives and growth leadership.
  • Monitor the performance of growth initiatives and adjust strategies as needed to optimize outcomes.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with various departments to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and alignment.
  • Facilitate strategic planning workshops and ensure active participation across teams to gain insights and drive strategic coherence.
  • Lead special projects that require cross-functional input and expertise, managing timelines and deliverables effectively.

    • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in strategy development, brand strategy, business expansion or related functions with a strong track record of strategic planning and execution. Preferred experience within the SaaS or healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and technology trends.
  • Strong understanding of brand development and market dynamics, with experience in leading brand strategy initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
