Defend insureds, motor carriers, and businesses in commercial vehicle and trucking accident litigationManage a litigation caseload from assignment through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparationTake and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expertsDraft pleadings, discovery responses, dispositive motions, trial briefs, and evaluation reports for insurers and corporate clientsAppear in Arizona state and, where applicable, federal courts for hearings, conferences, and trialsEvaluate case exposure and provide clear, timely reporting and recommendations to clients and carriersWork collaboratively with firm leadership on case strategy, trial themes, and settlement postureMaintain regular, professional communication with clients, co-counsel, opposing counsel, and the courtQualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive Arizona Bar license in good standing3+ years of insurance defense experience required; 5+ years preferredStrong background in automobile / commercial vehicle defense or general bodily injury defense litigationProven experience taking and defending depositions ; trial experience or first / second chair trial involvement strongly preferredSolid legal writing skills and comfort with motion practice and complex discoveryAbility to work independently in a primarily remote environment while staying responsive and organizedProfessional, solutions-focused communication style with insurers and corporate clientsWhy You'll Love Working Here
