Job Description

CRB is seeking a Strategic Communications Manager to lead integrated internal and external communications initiatives that amplify our value proposition for life sciences and food & beverage clients. As part of our corporate communications team, you will report directly to the Strategic Communications Director and work closely with talented graphic design artists to bring ideas to life through compelling text, visuals, and animation.

This is a highly collaborative role with real autonomy to shape strategy and messaging. You’ll have the opportunity to influence CRB’s brand authority in the market and improve employee engagement across our 1,200+ team members – delivering the right information at the right time to drive change.

You’ll develop and deliver cohesive messaging across all major channels, from long-form content to social media strategy, ensuring that CRB’s voice remains clear, credible, and consistent. Working with the Strategic Communications Director, you’ll plan and execute integrated campaigns, strengthen brand positioning through proactive media pitching and content placement, and occasionally produce thought leadership pieces with subject matter experts.

This role maintains alignment with our Strategic Marketing team, ensuring all messaging supports CRB’s growth goals and business priorities.

Success in this role will be measured by :

The planning and delivery of timely and effective communications campaigns.

Strengthened brand perception in key markets.

Working with the Strategic Communications Director to identify the right engagement metrics and build a timeline to meet / exceed them.

The ability to manage multiple priorities on tight timelines without sacrificing quality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute internal and external communications plans and campaigns aligned with Strategic Marketing team and company growth objectives.

Collaborate with the Strategic Communications Director to drive a robust social media strategy that enhances brand positioning, audience engagement, and demand generation.

Work closely with dedicated graphic design artists to bring content to life through compelling text, visuals, and animation.

Develop editorial calendar, write press releases, media abstracts, and pitching documents that advance CRB’s visibility in target markets, while monitoring CRB’s share of voice and alerting leadership to potential reputation management scenarios.

Work with the Strategic Communications Director to develop and execute change communication plans to support organizational initiatives, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and tailored for impacted audiences.

Partner with senior leaders and project teams to identify communication needs, craft strategies that drive understanding and adoption, and proactively address potential concerns or resistance.

Create compelling content (emails, FAQs, talking points, presentations) that explains the “why” behind changes, aligns employees around shared goals, and reinforces company values during periods of transition.

Analyze communications metrics to deliver data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Maintain strong alignment with Strategic Marketing and Sales Services teams to ensure message consistency and timely delivery of high-impact materials that support the sales process.

May occasionally develop contributed articles and optimized thought leadership content in partnership with subject matter experts.

Support corporate-level communications initiatives, including rankings submissions, “People on the Move” announcements, and other reputation-building efforts.

Partner with Strategic Marketing and Sales Services teammates to deliver high-impact materials that support the sales process.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communication or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in a corporate communications role with a demonstrated focus on change communications, media placements and social media strategy

Strong project management skills

Ability to absorb and translate technical content

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Proficiency with tools like Meltwater, GlobeNewswire / PRNewswire, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Perplexity) to enhance communications work.

Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box

Strong relationship-builder

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in professional services industries such as engineering, construction, architecture, or consulting.

Familiarity with life sciences manufacturing and / or food & beverage sectors.

High comfort level working with prime media and trade publication journalists to provide timely news, updates, and company statements in alignment with company strategy and direction.
