As a crucial member of our Emergency and Critical Care team, you'll work closely with our Emergency Doctors to provide outstanding patient care and exceptional customer experiences. Triaging and Managing : Welcoming and assisting incoming patients and clients throughout their visit. Partnering with DVMs in patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures. Obtaining and processing lab samples, and utilizing imaging modalities for patient care. Executing, monitoring, and recovering sedation and anesthetic events. Providing compassionate care for hospitalized patients and being comfortable with intensive care cases, including dialysis and total plasma exchange. Venipuncture Placing IV Catheters Drug Calculations Medication Administration (IV or other methods) Taking Vitals Gathering Medical History Qualifications : Applicants must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in good standing 1+ year of experience as a Veterinary Technician. Competency in procedures, surgical preparation, patient monitoring, and client education. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds, kneel, bend, and restrain active animals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
