Cable Technician

Qualifications :

3 years experience in switch inside plant and outside plant support.  HS diploma or GED.  Experience in installation / termination / testing / troubleshooting of structured cabling (CAT5e / 6) copper cabling plant.  Experience in installation termination testing and troubleshooting inside / outside plant (multi-mode and single-mode) fiber optic cable plants.  Proficient with cable test equipment and working knowledge of all applicable TIA / EIA cabling standards.  Familiar with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office suite.  Able to demonstrate critical thinking and leadership skills required for problem identification and resolution.  Must have strong communication skills troubleshooting skills and customer service skills.  Able to professionally interact with customers and help resolve customer issues as required.  Able to lift up to 70lbs.  Able to provide planned and / or emergency after-hours support as needed.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.

The projected compensation range for this position is $62000-$71000.
