Job Summary : The Logistics Operator executes assigned production tasks in accordance with established procedures to ensure compliance with HSE, quality, service, and cost standards. This role involves operating production assets safely, performing maintenance, handling materials, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities :
- Take ownership of production assets and ensure safe operation as per procedures and industry best practices
- Perform daily production tasks, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administration
- Report safety, quality, or process issues to Team Leader or Shift Supervisor
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality standards
- Issue Corrective Action Reports (CAR) or hazard reports when relevant issues are identified
- Provide progress updates and attend team meetings
- Contribute to investigations of HSE or quality issues (e.g., customer complaints, reject batches)
- Participate in Continuous Improvement programs for HSE, Quality, and ALPS
- Comply with corporate, site, and laboratory policies regarding conduct, HSE, and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs
- Clean portable tanks, valves, filters, pumps, and other equipment using cleaning chemicals and tools
- Operate automated tank washer machine and perform area housekeeping duties
- Maintain storage of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods
- Operate forklift and complete daily inspection forms
- Assist fill-off operator in obtaining proper containers for batches
- Transfer completed products into containers of various sizes and apply correct labeling and documentation
- Fill off approved batches into proper shipping containers and ensure accuracy of measurements
- Perform cleaning and maintenance of pumps, tanks, filter housing, and hoses
- Add raw materials in the arranged order on batch tickets and weigh / measure accurately
- Coordinate sample testing with QC and make necessary adjustments
- Operate milling / grinding machines and demonstrate competency in Lockout / Tagout / Tryout processes
- Set up and break down mills, select media / screens, and perform color development checks
- Maintain housekeeping standards and assist in other production tasks as needed Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and guidelines
- Ability to pass forklift test and obtain certification
- Ability to operate a forklift effectively and efficiently
- Ability to measure and weigh accurately
- Ability to lift and handle containers up to 75 lbs and maneuver drums up to 600 lbs
- Ability to work in hot / cold environments and heavy manufacturing conditions
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods and climb stairs wearing steel-toed footwear
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and balance priorities

- Basic Microsoft skills preferred Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior experience in logistics or manufacturing operations
- Experience in paint or chemical manufacturing environment
