Analyst, Data Science

POSITION SUMMARY :

This position plays a key role in our efforts by providing data and decision support to the organization by performs statistical modeling and analysis to develop metrics, reports and visualizations of trends and patterns. Works with the organization and business end-users to understand data and analysis needs. Partner with development and data management roles to identify and capture data required from internal and external sources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of data. Develop, Implement and enhance high impact business process improvement projects. Provide information and recommendations to leadership on both regular and ad-hoc basis. Prepares regular reports sent to management.
• Ensures that our information systems and resources are optimally aligned to support our business objectives.
• Uses data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance.
• Creates and maintains statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.

The environment includes work inside / outside the office, travel to other offices, possibly travel domestic and international, and work in shipboard functions.
