Operating Room RN - Houston, TX

HealthCare Support is actively seeking a Operating Room RN to fill a job opening. This role is in-person located in Houston, TX.

Daily Responsibilities for Operating Room RN :

• Participates in patient care activities and adheres to requirements of RN position at a novice professional nursing level as specified in the Texas Nurse Practice Act when providing patient care as evidenced by :
• Follows the standards of care related to the nursing process.
• Conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, and maintenance of medical records under the supervision of the coordinator, supervisor of manager. Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
• Addresses and resolves common contingency situations that arise in specialty areas.
• Documentation is accurate, legible, timely, and concise according to protocol.
• Treats patients and family with courtesy, respect, and professionalism
• Provides instructions, verbal and written to the level of the patients' understanding.
• Stocks unit / completes routine checks on unit.
• Actively participates in preoperative call process.
• Other duties as assigned by Coordinator, Nursing Manager or any other member of leadership.
• The shifts for this position are Monday to Friday, 6 : 30am to 3pm
• This is a 3+ month contract role
