Shef is a modern-day shared personal chef service, connecting talented chefs to busy individuals & families seeking high quality meals delivered to their home. We’ve built a platform for independent chefs who want to grow something of their own : Shef handles delivery, customer service, platform logistics & more, allowing you to just focus on the cooking.

Our subscription service is launching in Washington DC early Jan 2026 so this is a great time to apply and be a part of our launching cohort.

We're currently active in Seattle, New York, San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, and Los Angeles regions.

Job Description

We are seeking talented chefs to cook for our weekly meal plan service, our curated subscription offering focused on easy dinners and lunches. This subscription model is designed for recurring orders, unlocking steady revenue for our participating chefs. All our chefs undergo vetting, taste tasting and menu workshopping to ensure the food offerings meet our standards. Compensation is a flat fee per serving sold.

You have

• Catering, private chef, or professional kitchen experience
• Culinary School degree and / or 1+ years of experience in restaurant kitchens
• Your food handler's or food manager's certificate (or are willing to obtain one)
• The ability to cook at least 10 servings a day
