About the Role
The Life Skills Professional is responsible for client support through direct interaction throughout shift; collaboratively and actively assisting and supporting the participants of the program in the development of Life / Recovery Support / Coping / Daily living skills. Facilitate and document life skills groups, implementing the activities on the monthly calendar; promote and enhance the trauma-informed culture of the program and the establishment and attainment of goals identified in the resident's treatment plan.
Program Description
Womanspace Philadelphia is involved in the Mayor’s homelessness initiative project and serves as the only female residential treatment program for dually diagnosed, chronically homeless women. Special components address drug / alcohol addiction, mental illness recovery, life skills, and parenting skills. Individual and group therapy is provided in an intimate home-like setting, with the ultimate objective being reintegration.
