Rebound Surgery Center is looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager for our Operating Room. This position is responsible for providing operational leadership and for planning, developing, and directing the patient care programs of the Surgery Center. Responsible for patient care in the intra- operative setting, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff and administrative staff in order to deliver high quality, cost effective care in an efficient and high service oriented environment. It requires effective personnel management through staff selection, management, development and retention. Clinical and managerial expertise is required that results in high quality of clinical care, optimum productivity and retention of high caliber staff. Effective management of resources through planning, cost management and operational and capital budgeting is essential. This position reports to the ASC Director of Clinical Services.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership
- Provides leadership for operational effectiveness, clinical excellence and personnel management.
- Creates and monitors infrastructure, systems, processes and standards to achieve desired outcomes
- Lead continuous improvement efforts that promote clinical excellence and cost efficiency.
- Effectively communicates and models organizational values, expectations, policies, and objectives. Communicates and supports organizational philosophy, mission and values and provides information and organizational expectations to staff.
- Collaboratively works with peers, respectful of the team processes and other members.
- Addresses and resolves problems and concerns of patient's, family, staff, physicians and other functional areas. Documents issues and resolutions as appropriate.
- Establishes and facilitates communication mechanisms and teambuilding within and between departments and utilizes appropriate communication channels.
- Ensures financial viability, meeting resource targets through the efficient use of staffing, supply and equipment. Designs and implements process changes to achieve goals.

Patient Care / Quality of CareDevelop, implement and measure best clinical practices that meet or exceed professional standards and regulatory mandatesEnsures safe and efficient coordination and delivery of patient care by establishing, maintaining, implementing and monitoring and measuring clinical performance against standards.Ensures compliance and practice standards consistent with regulatory requirements including CMS, Washington Department of Health, and AAAHC.Resource Management
Implements processes and systems to achieve the most efficient, cost effective delivery of servicesDesigns optimal staffing models, functional, efficient and cost effective, meeting or exceeding industry staffing and supply cost benchmarks.Designs systems and processes to measure, monitor and control supply and equipment costs, meeting organizational goals and industry benchmarks.Develops clinical operational and capital budgets and long range plans. Clinical Program ManagementDevelops and manages required clinical programs and services including :SWRSC Infection Control Program, fulfilling the role as the Infection Preventionist
Environment of Care and Safety ProgramQuality Management ProgramIdentifies and addresses system issues and implements performance improvement plans as indicated.
Maintains current knowledge of organizational goals strategic initiatives and actively participates in performance improvement projects.Ancillary services management of pharmacy, lab and radiologyRequired Qualifications
Education : Graduate of an accredited school / college of nursing.
Circulating ortho experience required. Scrub experience desirable.
Experience : 5 years in a surgical environment, 2 years of supervisory management experience
MSN Preferred.
Certification / Licensure : WA State License in Nursing required.
ACLS and BLS required.
Preferred : Professional AORN designations desirable.
