Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our family-owned metal fabrication shop. This role involves receiving and unloading material shipments, verifying inventory against shipping documents, and ensuring accurate input into our computer system. You will also be responsible for building pallets with completed products, wrapping, and loading them onto trucks for delivery to local customers. The position involves day trips only, with no overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders or invoices.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and arranging transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Inspect goods for damages or defects upon receipt.
• Operate forklifts or other equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
• Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
• Deliver orders once packaged and ready to ship.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Drive to delivery locations, with the furthest being Eugene, OR, ensuring same-day return.

Work Environment

Join a smaller, family-owned fabrication shop with a positive culture focus. Work within a close-knit team and have the opportunity to cross-train in different departments based on production needs. The work schedule is primarily day shifts from 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with potential for additional shifts on Tuesday and Thursday contingent on work ethic.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clackamas, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 / hr.
