Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create customized therapeutic plans that address immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing.
  • Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to build integrated care plans.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery process.
  • Document patient information accurately and promptly in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

    • Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • Preferred : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic approaches for all age groups, coupled with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective interactions with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Capacity to adapt treatment methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Robust clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable utilizing electronic medical records and documenting standards.
