  • MSI International is seeking to hire an IT Architect (Automation Architect) for our client in Jacksonville, FL. Position Overview : IT Architects are responsible for the development, programming, and coding of the most complex and business critical Information Technology solutions. Provides leadership and consultative guidance on projects with extensive size, scope, and risk. Serves the company as an adviser on best practices and as an information technology strategy driver by implementing principles, models, designs, standards, and guidelines. IT architects are responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participating in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluating and performing testing of purchased products. IT Architects are responsible for including IT Controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and the data processed or output by the application. IT Architect leads efforts, oversees work results, provides formal training, and serves as a technical resource for other Developers. REQUIRED EDUCATION : o Related Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or relevant work experience o 3-5 years of related work experience as an IT development / programming / coding professional within a Hadoop environment ______________________________________________________________________________________ Must-Have Experience : o Must have advanced knowledge of Data and Reporting (capturing data), moving data, able to run queries to pull data. o Experience working with BI Tools (Tableau / Power BI) o Familiar with Agile or SAFE (Rally / Jira) o Proficient in multiple programming languages. o Proficiency using versioning tools : GIT, GNU, RCS, SCCS, CVS, SVN, Mercurial, Monotone, etc oProficiency using debugging tools; Advanced Debugger, Allinea DDT, AQtime, ARM, CA / EZTEST, etc o Proficiency using standard desktop applications such as MS Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio. o Proficiency in creating architecture, green-field, and redesign, and communicating the same to the project team o Experience and understanding with unit testing, release procedures, coding, design, and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures. o Practitioner of Project Management Methodologies (e.g. waterfall, iterative, agile discipline) o Knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) software engineering practices o Knowledge in defining extensible architectures that can be built by the project team incrementally oKnowledgeable with Postgres, DB2, and NoSQL databases. o You will be supporting Digital Reporting Team and serve as the Team Lead of other Developers. o Must have excellent communication as they will be working with various groups within the organization~ Leadership, other Business groups, and other internal development teams. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Additional Skills & Experience : o Relevant Development certifications oLifelong learner and practitioner of new technologies in alignment with IT strategies o Broad knowledge of application suite required to support business area needs o Demonstrated ability to understand the overall IT strategy and apply / implement the IT strategy in assigned projects / initiatives. o Advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience applying current and emerging technology solutions and trends. o Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy. o Display technical leadership. o Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for a wide variety of audiences o Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance. o Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities o Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment o Must demonstrate initiative and effective independent decision-making skills
