Position Overview

Position Title : Director, Global Consulting Network (GCN)

Direct Reports : None

Reports To : Vice President, Global Services

Employment Status : Full Time, Exempt

Salary Band : Director

Work Location : Onsite / Hybrid / Remote

Travel Requirements : 10% or less as required domestic and international

Salary : $115,000 - $125,000 USD base, commensurate with experience

Commission Eligible : Not applicable

Bonus Eligible : Yes based on performance goals and organizational performance

Sponsorship : None candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States to be considered for this position. No visa or work sponsorship will be provided.

Position Summary

Planetree, a non-profit organization which pioneered the modern movement of person-centered care, is seeking a talented operational leader to join our team as Director Global Consulting. Founded by a single patient in 1978, Planetree has empowered over 9 million patients and healthcare providers to look at the care journey in a whole new way. Planetree is a consulting organization, working with healthcare provider organizations in the United States and in more than 30 countries globally to implement comprehensive person-centered models of care. Planetree is an advocacy organization, working with ministries of health and health-related NGOs around the world to promote person-centered care (PCC) as a model for improving quality of health care and services. And, through partnerships with universities in several countries, Planetree is changing the way that person-centered approaches to care are studied and taught to future generations of healthcare professionals.

Reporting to the Vice President Global Services, the Director Global Consulting Network (GCN) is accountable for building and managing Planetree's global network of contracted professionals who will deliver Planetree services, develop product content, provide educational resources, conduct assessments, and support our global mission. Responsibilities

Faculty

  • Build and manage the Planetree Faculty program including all contractual documents, recruitment processes, and Faculty experience
  • Allocate Faculty as required to Planetree delivery and development activities
  • Manage performance evaluation for Planetree Faculty Consultants
  • Build and manage the Planetree Consultant program including all contractual documents, recruitment processes, and Consultant experience
  • Build and manage the Planetree Consultant training and competency program in collaboration with the Consulting team and in alignment with the Planetree Method and Framework
  • Deliver onsite and virtual training to ensure a consistent Planetree client experience
  • Allocate Consultants as required to Planetree delivery and development activities
  • Manage performance evaluation for contracted Planetree Consultants in collaboration with the Regional Directors, Consulting Certification Specialists
  • Build and manage the Planetree Certification Specialist program including all contractual documents, recruitment processes, and Certification Specialist experience
  • Build and manage the Planetree Certification Specialist training and competency program in collaboration with the Director of Certification and in alignment with Planetree Framework and assessment methodologies
  • Deliver onsite and virtual training to support inter-rater reliability and ensure a consistent Planetree client experience
  • Allocate Certification Specialists as required to deliver Certification assessments
  • Manage performance evaluation for Certification Specialists with the Certification team
  • Achieve IEEA Surveyor Training Program accreditation for the Planetree Certification Specialist program and manage all processes required to maintain

  • Minimum Competencies

    Education

  • Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, education, or related field (eg, MBA, MHA, MEd, MPH)
  • Preferred : Additional research, certifications, or other master's degree(s)
  • Experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing a global contracted workforce
  • Demonstrated experience with program and curriculum development and evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience creating and leading online and onsite training
  • Experience leading remote teams across multiple time zones and cultures
  • History of effectively managing multiple competing responsibilities with the ability to prioritize and drive critical business objectives
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build and leverage strong relationships with diverse stakeholders both internal and external
  • Skilled at coaching, developing, and managing both early-career and seasoned professionals
  • Preferred : International healthcare experience

  • Experience with using Salesforce or other CRM technologies

  • Proficient with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Teams
  • Proficient with presentation technology requirements
  • Preferred : Proficient with Expensify
  • Language

  • English proficiency written and verbal
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Preferred : Other foreign languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Dutch, French)
  • Performance Evaluation

    Performance objectives will be established at the beginning of the team member's period of employment. These objectives will be discussed and agreed with the team member's direct line manager. This will form the team member's Development & Performance Plan for the year.

    Performance will be evaluated by :

  • Feedback on work achievements and issues by ongoing discussions and at performance evaluations
  • Periodic external member / partner feedback on services provided
  • Performance indicators for systems relating to the delivery of Planetree products and services
  • Performance indicators for key areas of responsibility
