Role Overview : We are hiring an Optometric Technician to assist our doctors in providing advanced eye care services. From pre-testing to patient education, this role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and comfort for every patient.
Key Responsibilities :
Verify appointments and assist in preparing patients for their visits
Schedule follow-up and pre-appointments as directed by the doctor
Help maintain recall lists to ensure continuity of patient care
Perform diagnostic testing (OCT, Optomap, Visual Fields, Topography, etc.)
Record medical histories and assist with contact lens training
Educate patients on optical solutions, dry eye treatments, and specialty services
Support doctors during exams and procedures
Cross-train in other roles to support team needs
Ideal Candidate :
Experience as an optometric technician preferred (will train motivated candidates)
Comfortable with technology and medical equipment
Strong relationship-building skills with patients and co-workers
Compassionate, with a focus on continuity of care in patient interactions
Patient-focused, detail-oriented, and adaptable
Team player with a “whatever it takes” attitude
Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
