Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,880 - $2,020 per week Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Newark, NJ 07112 (New Jersey healthcare jobs) Unit : Pediatrics (General Pediatrics, Hematology / Oncology, Orthopedics, Surgical) Contract Length : 13 weeks (travel RN contract) Start Date : December 22, 2025 Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 5 Charting System : EPIC Scrub Color : Navy First Time Travel Nurses : Accepted Pediatric Oncology RN Requirements Minimum 1.5 years of recent pediatric oncology nursing experience Active New Jersey or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission) BLS and PALS certifications (required for RN jobs) General pediatrics and chemotherapy / oncology experience required APHON, NRP, OCN certifications preferred Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred Ability to float to PICU and NICU as needed Must be able to work every other weekend and 2 of 3 major holidays during contract Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with oncology, hematology, orthopedic, and surgical needs Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and manage ports and central lines Monitor and manage symptoms, including seizure disorders and infection prevention Perform pediatric dosage calculations and medication administration Support breastfeeding and manage feedings (bottle, breast, gavage) Float to PICU and NICU for assignments based on clinical skills Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, social services, and rapid response teams Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC charting system Comply with hospital policies, attendance, and regulatory requirements Apply now to join our healthcare team in Newark, NJ, and make a difference as a Pediatric Oncology Registered Nurse.
