Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Scholar will be responsible for therapeutic ultrasound research and administrative activities related to the launch of the Keller Lab in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Oregon. The desired candidate will have expertise in therapeutic and / or diagnostic ultrasound and will have the opportunity for training through projects developing image-guided / feedback-controlled ultrasound therapies investigating mechanically induced cell and tissue stimulation and applied to improving antimicrobial treatments.
The postdoctoral scholar is expected to lead projects designing and characterizing new therapeutic ultrasound systems for in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo applications. The scholar will perform data analysis, collaborate across disciplines, and report discoveries in written and verbal form.
As a laboratory manager, the scholar will manage, maintain and provide technical expertise for lab equipment, protocols, and programs and assist the principal investigator in the physical and administrative set-up of the laboratory.
