Job Summary :
The Front Desk Receptionist is knowledgeable about and adheres to the Minnesota Center for Psychology’s (MCP) procedures while providing clients with an excellent customer service experience.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Daily BasisAdhere to federal HIPAA laws and understanding how they are used at MCP
Interacting with clinicians, staff, and clients via phone, email correspondence, and in personScheduling new and current clientsReceiving and entering client paymentsOpening, maintaining, and closing the front desk and lobby areasWeekly BasisSupporting new and existing clients with the functionality of the clinic’s patient portal
Mailing, scanning, uploading, and faxing documentsAiding in receiving and sending records requests via email, mail, and / or faxCollaborating with other front desk staff to keep the office organized, stocked, areas clean and sanitized, and files updatedAssisting with administrative projects and performs other related duties as assignedRequired Skills / Abilities :
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when neededStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentPreferred Education and Experience :
One to two years of experience working in a customer service position in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the mental health or healthcare fieldCompleted or in-progress Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology, mental health, or the healthcare fieldExperience with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareExperience with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systemPhysical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerEmployee Information & Benefits :
