Social Worker - MSW

Responsibilities :

• Supervise Case Managers and Housing Specialists Staff to ensure delivery of services to families residing in the facility as outlined in the house rules, NYC / DHS and NYSOTDA regulations.
• Provide direct Supervision to subordinate staff with opportunity for professional growth training to ensure that development and maintenance of skills do occur for optimum work performance.
• Ensure case records integrity through periodic reviews with follow up supervision to outline deficiencies
• Provide coverage to the site for clients’ emergencies occurrences 24 / 7 via cell phone.
• Assume responsibility for cases in the absence of Senior Case Manager and the Housing Specialists.
• Monitor and ensure the timely submission of all required paperwork and reports from subordinate staff and maintain all records and reports required by the facility and regulating agencies.
• Seek professional growth with supervision and participation of training programs both on and off site.
• Work cooperatively with shelter staff to ensure safety of residents.
• Act as a liaison with the community resource.
• Participate in annual reviews and other evaluating processes for subordinates.
• Perform all other duties as required by Program Director.
