    The Manager-Physician Coding works to promote correct coding and reporting of services provided. Ensures reimbursement data integrity and compliant accurate coding, billing and reporting for all clinician services. Oversees audits and the education of clinicians regarding the accuracy and completeness of medical documentation coding and billing. Provides on-going training for staff to ensure billing knowledge is up- to- date and charge work queues are worked accurately and in a timely manner. Provides reports / graphs regarding revenue trending, payer mix trends, denials and delay times. Performs other duties as needed.

    High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum five years of leadership experience required.

    Working knowledge of ICD9 / 10 and CPT Coding System. Able to use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate / troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively, think critically, work independently, perform basic math / statistical functions, manage multiple assignments, compose written material. Able to work well under pressure, problem solve, prioritize workload, and recall information with accuracy. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.Certified Procedural Coding (CPC) Certificate or Certified Professional Medical Auditor preferred.
