About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief of Staff for its technical operations department, which is dedicated to advanced product research and the integration of new technologies into production. The successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining the organization and progress of departmental initiatives, developing systems to address process inefficiencies, supporting data collection and reporting, and resolving a variety of departmental issues to ensure that all priorities are met. This role is pivotal in a large department with a focus on manufacturing engineering, quality, finance, safety, facilities, and R+D, and the Chief of Staff will be expected to have a hands-on approach to keep the department on track with its diverse set of responsibilities.

Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a background of 8 to 15 years in a leadership role within manufacturing environments, particularly in the semiconductor, chemical, or material science industries. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in process and system improvement, experience with SPC and data management tools, and a strong ability to keep the organization organized and efficient.
