TEMP-TO-HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled AOI Programmer to support our PCB manufacturing operations on the swing shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and maintaining automated optical inspection (AOI) systems, troubleshooting inspection-related issues, and ensuring accurate inspection of populated printed circuit boards. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, familiarity with IPC standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

Develop, load, and maintain programs for AOI systems used in PCB inspection

Troubleshoot and debug AOI programs to ensure optimal performance and detection accuracy

Perform calibrations, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on AOI machines

Review AOI inspection results for proper component placement, orientation, and markings

Inspect printed circuit boards using magnification tools and microscopes to verify accuracy

Identify component placement issues and communicate findings to Supervisor, Lead, or Engineer

Interpret assembly drawings and component documentation to verify inspection integrity

Ensure accurate documentation of inspection results and program changes

Support production operations by responding to AOI-related issues in real-time

Maintain a clean and organized work area, and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

1–3 years of AOI programming experience preferred

Familiarity with YES TECH and / or Koh Young AOI machines is a strong plus

Working knowledge of PCB assembly processes and common defect types

Understanding of IPC-A-610 standards for acceptable soldering and component placement

Ability to identify and troubleshoot inspection issues and recommend corrective actions

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfortable using microscopes and magnification tools for fine inspections

Capable of reading and interpreting assembly drawings, BOMs, and component polarity

Basic computer skills and ability to maintain inspection documentation accurately

Good verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
